Pool House Caravan Park is a family run caravan site on the banks of the River Severn a short distance outside the beautiful city of Worcester.

The park is open from Easter until the end of October, and has 24 pitches welcoming guests with touring caravans and motorhomes. All of the pitches benefit from electric hook-ups, while toilets and showers are also available at the site.

One of the special things about this campsite is that it offers over 750 feet of river frontage onto the Severn, all of which is available for guests looking to enjoy a day of fishing while staying here.

You will not find a shop, bar or restaurant on-site, but all can be found within a mile, either in the nearby town of Upton-upon-Severn or in the countryside, which is very convenient. If you’d like a meal out, you can drive or take public transport into Worcester, where you will find a range of great places to eat and drink. Worcester is about a half hour drive from Pool House Caravan Park.

But perhaps on your motorhome and caravan holidays in Worcestershire, you’re sure to visit Worcester itself. It is a truly beautiful city that combines the old and the new brilliantly. Worcester Cathedral, overlooking the River Severn, is perhaps the most famous attraction in the city, but there is also a wealth of art galleries and museums where tourists can learn much about the history and heritage of the place.

Guests that enjoy spending time outdoors can find plenty of walking routes and things to do in Worcester’s parks and woodland, while there are also miles of countryside to explore from the park, with riverside walks along the Severn particularly popular.

Pool House Caravan Park is also a good base from which to explore the breathtaking Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – indeed, the pretty town of Great Malvern is about a 15-minute drive from this campsite. Famous for being the source for a popular bottled water brand, the Malvern Hills is a great place for exploring on foot or on a bicycle. Be prepared to drink in many amazing views. You can also discover the world of composer Edward Elgar.

This campsite is close to the M5 motorway, enabling guests to easily travel across the region. Bristol is about an hour’s drive away, and when you visit Bristol, why not take in the zoo, the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge and enjoy the quirky, independent shops in Clifton itself. Cheltenham is rather closer, just a 30-minute drive from the campsite – maybe head here for a day at the races? Nearby Gloucester with its impressive cathedral, the Gloucester Waterways Museum in the city’s docks and much more is definitely worth a day out. Also, if you’ve pitched your caravan or motorhome at Pool House Caravan Park, you’re also just an hour from Birmingham, a bustling city well known as a great destination if you want some retail therapy.

So next time you’re looking for somewhere to stay on your holidays near Worcester, why not consider Pool House Caravan Park.
